Composition

Each 1 ml contains :                                                                                                             

Enrofloxacin                               100 mg

Colistin ( As Sulphate)               1,200,000 I.U

Description and Indications

DESCRIPTION :

SPECTRIL-C is a combination of  two antibiotics Enrofloxacin and Colistin with a synergistic action, which has a broad spectrum activity against gram positive and gram negative bacteria

Enrofloxacin, belongs to fluoroquinolone carboxylic acid derivatives. It acts bactericidal against mainly gram positive bacteria.

Colistin belongs to polypeptide antibiotics ( polymixins ) with a good safety profile.

Colistin is a bactericidal antibiotic which is highly active against gram- negative bacteria

 

INDICATIONS :

SPECTRIL-C is an antibiotic with a broad spectrum activity against infections caused by gram negative bacteria as E.coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Klebsiella and gram positive bacteria : Staph, Strept, Corynebacteria, Clostridia, Listeria and Mycoplasma species : M.Gallisepticum, M.Synoviae and M. meleagridis.

SPECTRIL-C is also recommended for the treatment of enteritis and diarrhea in poultry, ruminants.

 

 

Dosage

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION : Oral

DOSAGE    :                   

Poultry        : 1 ml / 2 Liters  of drinking water for 3-5 days in common infections and for 5-7 days in Salmonella and Staph. aureus infections.

Ruminants : 1ml / 20 kg b.w. for the first 24 hours then half dose for 3-4 days.         

 

Pharmaceutical Precautions

Do not use with water containing heavy minerals salts .

Withdrawal Period

Don’t use poultry  products during  treatment and within  8 days from the last treatment .

Store below 30°C.
