Ampicillin Trihydrate                  500 mg

DESCRIPTION:

Ampicillin is a semi synthetic broad-spectrum bactericidal penicillin derivative acts by inhibition of cell wall synthesis and is rapidly absorbed in the upper part of the intestine. It reaches its highest plasma concentration within two hours and mainly excreted in urine and bile.

INDICATIONS :

SPECTRA CILLIN FORTE is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by E.coli, Clostridia, Salmonella, Proteus, Corynebacteria, Brucella, Klebsiella, Staphylococci, Streptococci and Pasteurella.

SPECTRA CILLIN FORTE is mainly used for the treatment of necrotic and ulcerative enteritis that affect poultry and other animals. It is also used for the treatment of diarrhea and pulmonary infections in Lambs, Kids, Calves and Foals.

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Oral  

GENERAL PHARMACOLOGICAL DOSE:

Mammals: 11-22 mg / kg b.w.

Poultry     : 20 mg / kg b.w. 

Poultry      :  0.5 gm / 2 liter of drinking water daily for 3-5 days.

Lambs, Kids, Calves and Foals:  0.5 gm /10 kg body weight twice daily for 3-5 days in drinking water or milk.

To be used only for young lambs and kids

Don't use animals and poultry products during treatment and within 4 days from the last treatment.

Store below 30°C.
