Enrofloxacin       100 mg

Description and Indications

DESCRIPTION :

Enrofloxacin, a chemotherapeutic agent belongs to belongs to fluoroquinolone carboxylic acid derivatives. It is rapidly and almost completely absorbed from the G.I.T. with peak plasma concentration occurring in about 1/2 – 2 hours. Enrofloxacin does not show cross resistance with other antimicrobials like B-Lactams, Tetracyclines, Macrolides, Sulphonamides and Trimethoprim.  

 

INDICATIONS :

SPECTRIL is used in all common bacterial gram negative infections in poultry such as  E.coli, Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Klebsiella and with gram positive bacteria such as : Staph, Strept, Corynebacteria, Clostridia, Listeria and Mycoplasma species such as : M.Gallisepticum, M.Synoviae and M. meleagridis.

 

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION : Oral

Dosage

GENERAL PHARMACOLOGICAL DOSE :

Ruminants : 2.5-5 mg / kg b.w.

 Poultry       :     10 mg / kg b.w. 

 

DOSAGE    :                  

Poultry        : 0.5 ml / 1 L of drinking water for 3-5 days in common infections and for 5-7 days in Salmonella and Staph. aureus infections.

Ruminants: 1ml / 20 kg b.w. for the first 24 hours then half dose for 3-4 days.         

Pharmaceutical Precautions

Do not use with water containing heavy minerals salts .

Withdrawal Period

Don't use animals and poultry products during treatment and within 5 days from the last treatment

Store below 30°C.
